Small Business Institute
The
Small Business Institute (SBI) is a committee of the Bay County Chamber
of Commerce developed to help grow the small business. Participation in
SBI is available to all members of Bay County Chamber. SBI meets monthly
to conduct roundtable discussions on issues affecting small businesses.

Community College Small Business Development Center, Bay County
Economic Development Alliance, Gulf Coast Community College, Florida
State University PC campus and Florida State University's
Jim Moran Institute will be on hand at each monthly meeting to help
members of SBI solve issues that may be affecting their business.
The Committee also selects the Small Business of the Month Award as
well as the Small Business of the Year Award.
Small Business of the Quarter

Small Business of the Month has now been changed to Small Business of the Quarter! The next Small Business of the Quarter will be announced in March 2011!
The purpose of this award is to recognize businesses for their successful growth, stability and community involvement. In order to be considered for this award, the company must have fewer than 35 employees, in business for a minimum of two years, and a member in good standing with the Bay County Chamber of Commerce. Continuing Education

The Small Business Institute hosts workshops throughout the year
addressing the needs of small businesses. Topics include workers
compensation, financial planning, government contracting, developing
business plans and more.
