FRIDAY FEST in downtown Panama City

“Friday Fest” is held the first Friday of each month from March through November ...


and offers unique retail booths, great food, extended store hours, classic car displays, children’s activities, and best of all, family-friendly live bands that will have the entire family grooving to the beat on the street.


The hub of activity takes place in the 200, 300, 400 and 500 blocks of Harrison Avenue. All areas will be closed to vehicular traffic.  FOUR stages will be set up, one at the intersection of Harrison and 6th Street, Harrison and 5th Street, Harrison and 4th, and in front of Trigo.

Summer Swimming at Boys and Girls Club

This summer, come enjoy Panama City's only public swimming pool this side of the Hathaway Bridge!    


The Aquatic Center at the Boys and Girls Club of Bay County offers public swimming, American Red Cross (ARC) certified swimming lessons for both children and adults, water aerobics, pool rentals and movie night.  


There are ARC scholarships available to reduce the cost of swimming lessons.

Temporary Closing of County Rd 2300 to GCSC North Campus
06/13/2016 to 07/29/2016


Access to Gulf Coast State College’s North Bay Campus via County Road 2300 at the intersection of Highway 77 is scheduled to close for repairs starting on Monday, June 13. The county expects the road to be closed for approximately 45 days.


Drivers can utilize County Road 2302 at the intersection of Highway 77 near Southport Elementary School. The detour will run through Fanning Bayou and Hamrick Road, and message boards and detour signs will clearly mark the temporary route.   CLICK ON ATTACHMENT FOR DETOUR MAP ROUTE.

GCSC RN to BSN Fast Track Program

Gulf Coast State College is currently accepting applications for the RN to BSN Fast Track program. This will be the fifth class to enter the program since August 2012.  DEADLINE TO APPLY is AUGUST 15.


The RN to BSN program is designed for current Registered Nurses who are looking to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. The program prepares students for leadership positions and/or entry into graduate nursing programs. The Fast Track option combines online, face-to-face and clinical components and provides students the opportunity to finish their degree in as little as one calendar year while still being able to work full-time. In addition, students also have the option to attend the program part-time with six entry points throughout the year.

A Country Music Festival in Panama City Beach, Florida – September 2-4, 2016 – three days and three nights of sensational Country on the Coast.
