Panama City, FL – The Bay County Chamber, BookIt.com and Pier Park are again presenting “Tourism Appreciation Month”. The State of Florida recognizes a week in May for Tourism Appreciation to highlight the importance of tourism in the state. The Bay County Chamber will take it a step further in conjunction with the title sponsors - BookIt.com and Pier Park, to recognize our number one industry in Bay County with a month long celebration with the following events:
• First Friday – May 4th – FSU-Panama City Holley Center
Networking: 7:30 a.m. – Program: 8:00 a.m.

• 5th Annual Jungleball-Volleyball Tournament/Business After Hours – May 15th –
BookIt.com Beach in Pier Park
Tournament: 4:30 p.m. – Business After Hours – 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.

In conjunction with these events, Tourism Appreciation Month is a public awareness campaign requesting for the community to say “Thank You for Visiting” to our tourists. We are asking businesses to place it on business marquees, signs and websites.
