The Bay County Chamber of Commerce partnered with The Color Vibe Race Series to bring a Color Vibe 5k Race to Panama City, FL, on Saturday, November 16th.
The race took place at the old Bay County- Panama City International Airport. Over 3,800 runners came out for a fun-filled day of color. The Color Vibe Race Series 5k is a fun, 3.1 mile run infused with color. Runners started the race with a clean, white t-shirt and passed through four color stations. At the end of the run, they were colored in vibrant green, pink, blue, yellow and purple.
The point of the event was not to race, but to literally become a canvas of color, be active, and share a fun experience with friends and family. The colored powder thrown was simply cornstarch and is 100% safe and biodegradable.
Proceeds benefited the Bay County Chamber of Commerce Foundation which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. The funds raised will help sustain programs such as Leadership Bay, Junior Leadership Bay, Education Committee, Educators in Industry, Career Connections, Bay Young Professionals, and more.
Thank you to LaQuinta Inn & Suites on Thomas Drive in Panama City Beach for being our registration sponsor.
