July 2013 Flooding
Several counties are requesting the deployment of Federal/State Damage Assessment Teams to investigate the need of a federal declaration to assist with those affected by the flooding over the Fourth of July weekend.
Currently, Washington, Okaloosa, Walton, and Holmes Counties have requested assessment teams. Bay County is also being considered. The Department of Economic Opportunity and Emergency Support Function 18 are encouraging Northwest Florida business owners who have incurred losses due to the July 2013 flooding to complete a Business Damage Assessment Survey form. To access the form, click here.
The results of this survey will be beneficial in determining the economic impact of the flooding and the additional resources required to help affected businesses and communities recover.
