Bay County Chamber Wins Three Communication Awards

 

For the first time ever, on September 9-11, the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals (FACP) held its annual conference in Bay County. Over one hundred Chamber executives from all over the State of Florida participated in the event held at Edgewater Beach Resort and Conference Center. The conference provides continuing education opportunities to those participants to take back innovative programs to their respective communities.

 

Vote YES on the Panama City Tourist Development Tax! :: This “user fee” tax will only be paid by those that rent motel or hotel rooms, apartment units, condominiums or houses for less than six months. Only residents of Panama City will be able to vote on September 30, 2014, so we urge you to VOTE YES for the Panama City Tourist Development Tax! With the approval of Panama City residents, we believe these funds will give our community the needed revenue to adequately promote our city in order to draw more visitors to our quaint, historical town. Industry Appreciation Celebration :: Shining a spotlight on companies that help diversify Bay County's economy, the Bay County Chamber of Commerce will host Industry Appreciation Celebration during the month of September. The month long celebration is designed to acknowledge existing businesses in appreciation for their involvement in the community and their contributions to economic development. During your 10 day trip you will experience Mass at the Marian Shrine of Knock, enjoy a guided tour of St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin, you will spend two nights in the charming waterside village of Kinsale, renowned as Ireland’s “gourmet capital” and much, much more.
